Hi can we talk about when Sonny catches a bullet in the chest during a shootout (not the strangest thing to happen to a police officer I’m sure we can all agree) he has a flashback specifically to the Evan episode which was about two queer (closeted) cops committing suicide by walking in front of bullets 

Can we also discuss how this is in the season where he marries a woman he doesn’t know like, at all, seemingly in order to Be Heterosexual Better, and then in the episode after getting shot, he finds himself unable to sustain any interest in speaking to her on the phone and doesn’t seem to care that she’s coming home

ABFC is 100% the episode where Crockett finally is just like “well fuck me I’m queer for real aren’t I,” and I think it’s because getting shot makes him admit he’s the same as the other two members of his Three Musketeers (Evan & Mike Orgel). If poor Caitlin didn’t have to Die For Man Pain™ in the next episode, they’d absolutely have been headed for divorce
